Abstract

A system for scheduling a teacher for teaching one or more students during one or more learning sessions comprises an online learning system having one or more nodes that creates one or more online learning sessions. A scheduling node schedules one or more teachers for teaching one or more online learning sessions. A database stores one or more teacher schedules for one or more learning sessions. The same or another database stores one or more teacher preference attributes. A processing node selects a teacher to teach a student during a learning session based on the one ore more teacher preference attributes and the one or more teacher schedules. The scheduling node schedules the teacher for the learning session prior to the learning session.

Claims

1. A system for scheduling a teacher for teaching one or more students during one or more learning sessions, comprising:

an online learning system having one or more nodes that creates one or more online learning sessions;

a scheduling node that schedules one or more teachers for teaching one or more online learning sessions;

a database that stores one or more teacher schedules for one or more learning sessions;

a database that stores one or more teacher preference attributes; and

a processing node that selects a teacher to teach a student during a learning session based on the one ore more teacher preference attributes and the one or more teacher schedules, wherein the scheduling node schedules the teacher for the learning session prior to the learning session.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the one ore more teacher preference attributes relate to one or more attributes associated with at least one of a student'"'"'s preference, responsible authority'"'"'s preference or teacher'"'"'s preference.

3. The system of claim 2, wherein a teacher is categorized relative to a student'"'"'s or responsible authority'"'"'s preference in terms of preferred, not-preferred, or avoid.

4. The system of claim 2, wherein a student is categorized relative to a teacher'"'"'s preference in terms of preferred, not-preferred, or avoid.

5. The system of claim 1 further including:

a database that stores one or more matching parameters for matching on or more students with one or more teachers; and

a matching node that selects a teacher for a plurality of students for the online learning session based on the one or more matching parameters.

6. The system of claim 5, wherein the one or more matching parameters relate at least one of a one or more responsible authority attributes, teacher qualification parameter associated with the student/teacher ratio of one or more learning sessions.

7. The system of claim 6, wherein the one or more responsible authority attributes relate to teacher certification, compliance with rules or regulations, teacher skill, security clearance by a governmental or non-governmental agency, fields of education, or immunization for one or more diseases.

8. The system of claim 6, wherein the one ore more teacher preference attributes relate to one or attributes associated with at least one of students'"'"' preference, responsible authority'"'"'s preference or a teacher preference.

9. The system of claim 8, wherein a teacher is categorized relative to a student'"'"'s or responsible authority'"'"'s preferences in terms of preferred, not-preferred, or avoid.

10. The system of claim 8, wherein a student is categorized relative to a teacher'"'"'s preferences in terms of preferred, not-preferred, or avoid.

11. The system of claim 6, wherein the teacher qualification parameter is related to qualitative or qualitative teacher qualification measure.

12. The system of claim 11, wherein the quantitative qualification measure related to at least one of learning sessions taught by the teacher or a test score associated with teaching skills.

13. The system of claim 11, the qualitative teacher qualification measure relates to teacher certification or peer review.

14. The system of claim 6, wherein the student/teacher ratio is associated with a corresponding qualification score and wherein the qualification score is associated with a qualification rule for teaching a learning session with a corresponding student/teacher ratio.
