1. A method of presenting current in-demand job specifications to a user so that the user may navigate through the in-demand job specifications and refine the presentation with a limited number of selections from a graphical user interface via an input device and so that each selection from the user results in a more refined set of current in-demand job specifications, the method comprising:

  • a) presenting on the graphical user interface a selection of first level job classifications having associated in-demand job specifications so that the user may select a first level job classification corresponding to one or more associated in-demand job specifications;

    b) receiving input from the user in which the user selects one of said first level job classifications from the graphical user interface via an input device;

    c) identifying normalized elements from current in-demand job specifications corresponding to the selected first level job classification, where the normalized elements are associated with corresponding sets of synonymous words or phrases found in the current in-demand job specifications corresponding to the selected first level job classification;

    d) presenting on the graphical user interface the normalized elements via a tag cloud in which the font size of each normalized element is representative of the frequency of occurrence of each normalized element in said current in-demand job specifications corresponding to the selected first level job classification, such that elements that are presented in the tag cloud in a larger font size have a higher frequency of occurrence in said current in-demand job specifications corresponding to the selected first level job classification than elements that are presented in the tag cloud in a smaller font size;

    e) receiving input from the user selecting at least one of said normalized elements from the tag cloud via an input device;

    f) identifying updated normalized elements from current in-demand job specifications corresponding to the selected said first level job classification that include the normalized elements received as input from the user;

    g) presenting on the graphical user interface the updated normalized elements via a tag cloud in which the font size of each element is representative of the frequency of occurrence of each updated normalized element in said current in-demand job specifications corresponding to the selected first level job classification that include the normalized elements received as input from the user, such that updated elements that are presented in the tag cloud in a larger font size have a higher frequency of occurrence in said current in-demand job specifications corresponding to the selected first level job classification that include the normalized elements received as input from the user than elements that are presented in the tag cloud in a smaller font size;

    h) co-presenting with the updated normalized elements a list of job specification extracts corresponding to the current in-demand job specifications from which the updated normalized elements were selected;

    i) monitoring for additional input from the user and repeating steps e), f), g), and h) as the user selects additional normalized elements from the graphical user interface.
