Abstract

A method for antenna cancellation including placing a transmit antenna and its tandem transmit antenna in one line being a transmit antenna line, and placing a receive antenna and its tandem receive antenna in another line being a receive antenna line so that the transmit antenna and receive antenna lines are orthogonal and the transmit antenna line being the bisector of the line segment between the receive antenna and its tandem and the receive antenna line being the bisector of the line segment between the transmit antenna and its tandem antenna.

Claims

1. A method for antenna cancellation comprising the steps of:

placing a transmit antenna and its tandem transmit antenna in one line being a transmit antenna line, and

placing a receive antenna and its tandem receive antenna in another line being a receive antenna line so that the transmit antenna and receive antenna lines are orthogonal and the transmit antenna line being the bisector of the line segment between the receive antenna and its tandem and the receive antenna line being the bisector of the line segment between the transmit antenna and its tandem antenna.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein dipole antennas are used and the antennas are orthogonal to the plane of the antennas that is defined by the receive antenna line and transmit antenna line.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein dipole antennas are used and transmit antennas are orthogonal to the plane of the antennas defined by the receive antenna line and transmit antenna line and receive antennas are in the plane of the antennas and orthogonal to the receive antenna line.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein dipole antennas are used and receive antennas are orthogonal to the plane of the antennas defined by the receive antenna line and transmit antenna line and transmit antennas are in the plane of the antennas and orthogonal to the transmit antenna line.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein +45 and −

45 degree cross polarized antennas are used.

6. The method of claim 3, the plane of passing through transmit cross polarized antennas is orthogonal to the plane passing through receive cross polarized antennas and both these planes are orthogonal to the plane of the antennas defined by the receive antenna line and transmit antenna line.
