Abstract

Selection of a send job by a user is accepted in an execution history which displays the execution history of a send job for sending data to a destination. It is determined whether the user has an authority to execute the send job displayed in the execution history. If it is determined that the user has the authority, an item for reusing a destination used when the selected send job was executed is displayed in a screen including the execution history.

Claims

1. An image forming apparatus comprising:

a history display unit configured to display an execution history of a send job for sending data to a destination;

a selection acceptance unit configured to accept selection of a send job by a user in the execution history displayed by said history display unit;

a determination unit configured to determine whether the user has an authority to execute the send job displayed in the execution history; and

an acceptance display unit configured to, when said determination unit determines that the user has the authority, display, in a screen including the execution history, an item for reusing a destination used when the selected send job was executed.

2. The apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a table configured to define a user having the authority to execute the send job displayed in the execution history,

wherein said determination unit looks up said table and determines whether the user has the authority to execute the send job displayed in the execution history.

3. The apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising:

a job determination unit configured to determine whether the send job in the execution history results normal or abnormal; and

a warning display unit configured to, when said job determination unit determines as abnormal, display a warning that the send job selected in the execution history has executed abnormally.

4. The apparatus according to claim 3, further comprising an instruction acceptance display unit configured to, when said warning display unit displays the warning that the send job selected in the execution history has executed abnormally, accepting an edit instruction of an output destination of the send job.

5. The apparatus according to claim 4, further comprising an edit screen display unit configured to display an edit screen for the output destination of the send job upon accepting the edit instruction.

6. An image forming apparatus control method comprising:

a history display step of displaying an execution history of a send job for sending data to a destination;

a selection acceptance step of accepting selection of a send job by a user in the execution history displayed in the history display step;

a determination step of determining whether the user has an authority to execute the send job displayed in the execution history; and

an acceptance display step of, when the user is determined in the determination step to have the authority, displaying, in a screen including the execution history, an item for reusing a destination used when the selected send job was executed.

7. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program for causing a computer to execute

a history display step of displaying an execution history of a send job for sending data to a destination,

a selection acceptance step of accepting selection of a send job by a user in the execution history displayed in the history display step,

a determination step of determining whether the user has an authority to execute the send job displayed in the execution history, and

an acceptance display step of, when the user is determined in the determination step to have the authority, displaying, in a screen including the execution history, an item for reusing a destination used when the selected send job was executed.
