Abstract

An identification system for identifying, recording, and alerting to an impact between a vehicle and an impacting object, such as another vehicle that impacts the vehicle. At least one sensor positions on a front and rear bumper of the vehicle for sensing the impact and actuating the system in response. At least one camera on the vehicle periphery records the impacting object. Each camera positions on a periphery of the vehicle and tilts up to 180 degrees. An alert portion emits an alert in response to the impact. An antenna communicates with a positioning system to identify a location of the vehicle during the impact. A communication device stores and relays information, such as vehicle identification number, license plate number, and drivers license information of the impacting object to an emergency department. A processor and a SIM card store and identify information about each vehicle.

Claims

1. A system comprising:

at least one sensor, said at least one sensor being disposed to position on a periphery of a vehicle, said at least one sensor being configured to sense an impact on said vehicle from an impacting object;

at least one camera, said at least one camera being disposed to position on said periphery of said vehicle, said at least one camera being configured to record an image of said impacting object;

an alert portion, said alert portion being disposed to operatively join with said at least one sensor and said at least one camera, said alert portion being configured to emit an alert in response to said impact;

an antenna, said antenna being configured to relay a location of said vehicle to a positioning system during said impact; and

a communication device, said communication device being configured to record and/or relay said information and said location to a remote location.

2. The system of claim 1, in which said at least one sensor comprises at least one impact sensor.

3. The system of claim 2, in wherein said at least one sensor is disposed to position on a front bumper of said vehicle, said at least one sensor further being disposed to position on a rear bumper of said vehicle.

4. The system of claim 3, in which said impacting object comprises an impacting vehicle.

5. The system of claim 4, in which said impact comprises a collision between said vehicle and said impacting vehicle.

6. The system of claim 5, in which said at least one camera comprises a walnut sized camera on a front section of said vehicle, said at least one camera further comprising a walnut sized camera on a rear section of said vehicle, said at least one camera further comprising two cameras on each longitudinal end of said vehicle.

7. The system of claim 6, wherein said at least one camera is configured to pivot up to 180 degrees for recording said image.

8. The system of claim 7, wherein said at least one camera comprises a still photo camera and/or a video camera.

9. The system of claim 8, wherein said at least one camera is configured to zoom in on said impacting object.

10. The system of claim 9, wherein said at least one camera is configured to print said image of said impacting object.

11. The system of claim 10, wherein said alert portion is configured to emit and relay said alert to an emergency department.

12. The system of claim 11, in which said alert comprises a siren.

13. The system of claim 12, in which said communication device comprises a telephone.

14. The system of claim 13, wherein said communication device comprises a processor, said processor being configured to record and/or store information about said impact.

15. The system of claim 14, in which said communication device comprises a subscriber identity module card for identifying said vehicle and relaying information about said impact and said location to said emergency department.

16. The system of claim 15, in which said information about said impact comprises an impacting vehicle identification number, and/or a license plate number, and/or a drivers license number, and/or a color, and/or a model.

17. The system of claim 16, in which said positioning system comprises a global positioning system.

18. The system of claim 17, in which said system comprises a second antenna, said second antenna being configured to produce a flash for enhancing said image recorded by said at least one camera.

19. A system comprising:

means for sensing an impact between a vehicle and an impacting object;

means for transmitting a location of said impact through an antenna to a positioning system;

means for capturing an image of said impacting object with at least one camera;

means for producing a flash with a second antenna for enhancing said image;

means for emitting an alert during said impact with an alert portion;

means for storing information and location of said impact in a communication device; and

means for relaying said information and location of said impact to a remote emergency department with said communication device.

20. A system consisting of:

at least one sensor, said at least one sensor comprising at least one impact sensor, said at least one sensor being disposed to position on a periphery of a vehicle, said at least one sensor being disposed to position on a front bumper of said vehicle, said at least one sensor further being disposed to position on a rear bumper of said vehicle, said at least one sensor being configured to sense an impact on said vehicle from an impacting object, said impacting object comprising an impacting vehicle;

at least one camera, said at least one camera being disposed to position on a periphery of said vehicle, said at least one camera being configured to record an image of said impacting object, said at least one camera being configured to pivot up to 180 degrees for recording said image, said at least one camera comprising a walnut sized camera on a front section of said vehicle, said at least one camera further comprising a walnut sized camera on a rear section of said vehicle, said at least one camera further comprising two cameras on each longitudinal end of said vehicle, said at least one camera comprising a still photo camera and/or a video camera;

an alert portion, said alert portion being disposed to operatively join with said at least one sensor and said at least one camera, said alert portion being configured to emit an alert in response to said impact, said alert portion further being configured to emit said alert to an emergency department, said alert comprising a siren;

an antenna, said antenna being configured to relay a location of said vehicle to a positioning system during said impact, said positioning system comprising a global positioning system;

a communication device, said communication device being configured to record and/or relay said information and said location to a remote location, said information comprising an impacting vehicle identification number, and/or a license plate number, and/or a drivers license number, and/or a color, and/or a model, said communication device comprising a telephone, said communication device further comprising a processor, said processor being configured to record and/or store information about said impact, said communication device further comprising a subscriber identity module card for identifying said vehicle and relaying information about said impact and said location to said emergency department; and

a second antenna, said second antenna being configured to produce a flash for enhancing said image recorded by said at least one camera.
