Abstract

The touch panel according to the embodiment includes a first substrate and a second substrate spaced apart from each other; a position detecting electrode on at least one of the first and second substrates; a wire connecting the position detecting electrode to a substrate; and an intermediate layer being elastically deformed such that a thickness of the intermediate layer is varied.

Claims

1. A touch panel comprising:

a first substrate and a second substrate spaced apart from each other;

a position detecting electrode on at least one of the first and second substrates;

a wire connecting the position detecting electrode to a substrate; and

an intermediate layer being elastically deformed such that a thickness of the intermediate layer is varied.

2. The touch panel of claim 1, further comprising:

a pressure detecting electrode on a bottom surface of the first substrate,

wherein the position detecting electrode is placed on at least one surface of the second substrate.

3. The touch panel of claim 1, wherein the intermediate layer is placed between the first and second substrates and the intermediate layer bonds the first substrate to the second substrate.

4. The touch panel of claim 2, wherein a distance between the first and second substances is variable by the intermediate layer.

5. The touch panel of claim 1, wherein the intermediate layer has a light transmittance of 80% or more in a visible ray band.

6. The touch panel of claim 1, wherein the intermediate layer has a refractive index in a range of 1.3 to 1.52.

7. The touch panel of claim 1, wherein the intermediate layer includes resin.

8. The touch panel of claim 1, wherein the intermediate layer includes at least one selected from the group consisting of silicon resin, polyurethane resin, vinyl chloride resin and acrylic resin.

9. The touch panel of claim 2, wherein the intermediate layer compensates for a color difference with respect to the pressure detecting electrode or the position detecting electrode.

10. The touch panel of claim 1, wherein the position detecting electrode comprises:

a first electrode in a first direction; and

a second electrode in a second direction crossing the first direction,

wherein the first and second electrodes are placed on mutually different surfaces of the second substrate.

11. The touch panel of claim 10, wherein the first and second electrodes are placed on a same surface of the second substrate.

12. The touch panel of claim 10, further comprising:

a third substrate below the second substrate,

wherein the first electrode is placed on the second substrate and the second electrode is placed on the third substrate.

13. The touch panel of claim 1, wherein the position detecting electrode comprises:

a first electrode on at least one surface of the first substrate; and

a second electrode on at least one surface of the second substrate;

wherein the intermediate layer is formed as a pressure recognizing layer;

wherein the intermediate layer comprises;

a conductive layer; and

a functional layer; and

wherein the functional layer comprises;

a first functional layer on a first surface of the conductive layer; and

a second functional layer on a second surface of the conductive layer, which is opposite to the first surface.

14. The touch panel of claim 13, wherein the intermediate layer is placed between the first substrate and the second substrate.

15. The touch panel of claim 13, wherein the intermediate layer is placed below the second substrate.

16. The touch panel of claim 13, wherein the functional layer includes a composite of an insulation material and a conductive material.

17. The touch panel of claim 16, wherein the insulation material includes resin.

18. The touch panel of claim 16, wherein the conductive material includes a material selected from the group consisting of a metal, carbon nano-tubes and carbon black.

19. The touch panel of claim 13, wherein the conductive layer includes a conductive material.

20. The touch panel of claim 13, wherein the first electrode faces the second electrode.
