Abstract

Methods and apparatus for providing data processing and control for use in a medical communication system are provided.

Claims

1. A method for data processing using one or more processors, comprising:

retrieving a predetermined number of stored signals associated with a monitored analyte level;

processing a received signal associated with the monitored analyte level and the retrieved predetermined number of stored signals to determine a tolerance parameter; and

comparing the tolerance parameter to a predetermined tolerance range corresponding to a dynamically varying uncertainty parameter determined based upon a number of data available for determining trend information;

wherein the trend information is determined when the tolerance parameter is within the predetermined tolerance range such that no more than a predetermined number of the retrieved predetermined number of stored signals is missing.
