Abstract
Systems and methods are disclosed for determining the value of secured assets associated with loan accounts. In one implementation, a financial service system configures a secured loan account for a customer. The system determines an asset belonging to the customer to serve as the secured collateral for the loan. One or more sensors are configured to monitor information associated with the asset. The financial service system may periodically sample the sensor information associated with the asset, and use the sensor information to determine a present valuation of the secured asset. The sensor information may also be used to modify the loan terms, or to generate advertising targeted to the customer for related goods or services.

21. A system for assisting with maintenance of an asset, the system comprising:
-
a hardware sensor; one or more memories storing instructions; and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions to perform operations comprising; identifying the asset; configuring the sensor to interface with the processor; determining information to acquire from the configured sensor, the determined information relating to types of data affecting operation of the asset, the sensor being further configured to provide feedback related to the determined information when a triggering event occurs; acquiring the determined information from the configured sensor, the acquired information comprising; information obtained when the sensor provides feedback, and information obtained by a sensor data sampling process that monitors the data types; determining if maintenance is required on the asset, based on at least on a comparison between the data types and predetermined criteria associated with the asset; and based on the determination of whether maintenance is required, configuring the sensor such that maintenance may be performed remotely over a network. - View Dependent Claims (22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27)
