Stambler Files New Suits Targeting Financial Services

Leon Stambler [INV/NPE] filed four separate suits against Ally, Capital One, The Clearing House, and several regional Federal Reserve banks, alleging that the defendants’ online banking products and services infringe one to three patents related to transaction authentication.  Stambler has filed over 10 prior suits since February 2001 against over 150 defendants including Amazon, AT&T, Best Buy, Dell, Orbitz, Priceline, Sprint, Sprint Nextel, and Walgreen.  In August 2010, RPX obtained limited rights under the Stambler patents on behalf of clients.  9/21, Eastern District of Texas, no judge yet assigned, 2:2012cv00608; 2:2012cv00609; 2:2012cv00610; 2:2012cv00611.
