Tiare Technology, Inc. has filed another wave of cases in the campaign begun in April of last year, this wave hitting Best Buy (2:22-cv-00179), Lowe’s (2:22-cv-00180), Panera Bread (2:22-cv-00181), and Whataburger Restaurants (2:22-cv-00182) over the provision of mobile apps with features for making and tracking the location of orders from specific stores/locations. This campaign appears to be rolling through retailers in the Eastern District of Texas that offer apps that support mobile-ordering with a family of patents generally related to a system that allows a user to make a service request through a “venue-specific application”.
