Winterspring Digital LLC has sued Palo Alto Networks (2:22-cv-00246) and Trend Micro (2:22-cv-00246) over the provision of certain network hardware and software, the Texas NPE asserting against each defendant the same three patents in suit against Fortinet in a case filed in January 2022 and settled by April 1. Winterspring Digital describes the patents, of disparate origins but all received from Intellectual Ventures LLC (IV) in June 2021, as generally related to “routing data over a network”.
