Winterspring Digital LLC has filed separate suits against Check Point Software Technologies (2:23-cv-00244), Fujitsu (2:23-cv-00269), HP Enterprise (HPE) (2:23-cv-00259), and Lenovo (2:23-cv-00258) in the Eastern District of Texas, targeting products (e.g., computers, endpoint solutions, firewalls, modules, switches, and transceivers) that “receive, convert, monitor, and send 10GE LAN signals” or perform “packet tagging”. The two asserted patents, broadly directed to network communications, are among four former Intellectual Ventures LLC (IV) patents that have been asserted against 11 defendants—also including Broadcom, Fortinet, Marvell Technology, MediaTek, Microchip Technology, Palo Alto Networks, Renesas, and Trend Micro—in this, the plaintiff’s sole litigation campaign.
