Sovereign Peak Ventures, LLC (SPV) has filed three Western District of Texas lawsuits against HP (6:22-cv-00917, 6:22-cv-00918, 6:22-cv-00919) over subsets of former Panasonic patents, targeting across the cases the provision of devices that support Wi-Fi Direct, the H.265/HEVC codec, and certain LTE networking capabilities via modems provided by Intel and Qualcomm. This new litigation follows last week’s dismissal with prejudice, in light of a settlement, of a trio of suits brought by the Dominion Harbor Enterprises, LLC plaintiff against ASUSTek this past February, as well as last week’s stay of a pair of cases against Acer, to facilitate settlement, filed last December.
