One From a New Set of Rock-Themed Texas Entities Tags Trio of Wireless Carriers
A new campaign in the Eastern District of Texas has hit wireless carriers AT&T (AT&T Mobility) (2:22-cv-00474), Deutsche Telekom (T-Mobile) (2:22-cv-00477), and Verizon (Verizon Wireless) (2:22-cv-00478) with separate suits over the same four wireless communications patents. The accused products are networking devices and mobile devices; for example, cellular base stations and handsets (identifying in all three complaints lists of devices made by either Apple or Samsung) that support 3GPP 5G beamforming; cellular base stations that support handover between 4G LTE and 5G NR wireless networks; base stations that support 3GPP NG-GRAN supporting directional Supplementary Uplink (SUL) functionality; and cellular handsets that support Wi-Fi only automatic updates. The plaintiff is Cobblestone Wireless, LLC, an entity that converted from Delaware, its state of formation, to Texas.
