TQP Development [NPE] filed four separate suits against Boeing, DirecTV, Disney, GE, Hotwire, Orbitz, Pepsi, Priceline.com, Rite Aid, and 28 others over a patent related to encrypted data transmission.  TQP, founded by Erich Spangenberg, has filed nine previous suits since under its current name and seven suits under the names Telequip and The PACid Group.  Dozens of companies have settled with TQP for undisclosed amounts including Amazon, Apple, Comcast, and eBay.  9/9, Eastern District of Texas, 2:2011cv00396; 2:2011cv00397; 2:2011cv00398; 2:2011cv00399.
