This past March, Game Star Systems LLC assigned seven US Patents to Gametronics LLC—a plaintiff connected with a familiar patent monetization figure. Now, in separate Eastern District of Texas complaints, Gametronics has accused 8BitDo (2:23-cv-00282), Nintendo (2:23-cv-00283), and Sony (2:23-cv-00284) of infringing one of those patents, generally related to “an apparatus for generating a data signal” through certain incorporated controls. The defendants are targeted over the provision of gaming controllers that incorporate joysticks.
