EyesMatch Returns to Litigation
New Patent Litigation
EyesMatch, Ltd. has filed suit against Samsung (2:23-cv-00363) in the Eastern District of Texas, asserting two of the four patents that it previously accused Meta Platforms (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) of infringing in District of Delaware litigation running from January 2021 to June 2022. Those patents generally relate to modifying an image captured by a device with a camera and displayed on a screen, with infringement allegations focusing on the provision of laptops, smartphones, and tablets equipped with “video capturing applications”, the Google Meet application, and/or the Microsoft Teams/Chat applications. At issue is the Auto Framing feature.

Inventor-Controlled Plaintiffs Sue Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp over Digital Mirroring
New Patent Litigation
EyesMatch Ltd. (as patent owner) and MemoMi Labs Inc. (as exclusive licensee) have together sued Facebook (Instagram, WhatsApp) (1:21-cv-00111) over the provision of their various social media platforms and related services. The plaintiffs target features for capturing and sharing photos and videos that can be modified through various settings or AR filters with four patents generally related to a system for capturing and modifying media content. Salvador Nissi Vilcovsky and Ofer Saban—the named inventors of the patents-in-suit—are identified in the new complaint as the founders of both EyesMatch and MemoMi Labs.
