Datrec LLC, a Texas entity associated with patent monetization firm Dynamic IP Deals LLC (d/b/a DynaIP), has fired off another round of suits in its sole litigation campaign, hitting Abbott Laboratories (6:21-cv-01173), Aerotel Medical (6:21-cv-01185), AMD Global Telemedicine (6:21-cv-01156), and IBM (6:21-cv-01175), each in the Western District of Texas. The single patent-in-suit generally relates to securing communication over a network by using a database, comprising personal identity data, for verification. The defendants are accused of infringement through the provision of various healthcare products that support wireless communication capabilities: for Abbott, over the FreeStyle Libre glucose-monitoring system; for Aerotel, over the eCliniQ: Medi-CliniQ health monitoring system; for AMD Global, over the AGNES Vitals Connect healthcare platform; and for IBM, over the IBM Watson Health platform.

In late July, DatRec LLC, a Texas entity associated with patent monetization firm Dynamic IP Deals, LLC (d/b/a DynaIP), added another two defendants to the sole litigation campaign that it began in June 2020: Intuit (2:21-cv-00291) in the Eastern District of Texas and Yardi Systems (6:21-cv-00785) in the Western District of Texas. The asserted patent generally relates to allowing for communication between users after verifying their identity through a database, with infringement allegations throughout the campaign targeting software products that support certain user authentication functionalities.

Plaintiff Associated with DynaIP President Kicks Off Networking Campaign

Recently formed Texas NPE PacSec3, LLC has kicked off its first litigation campaign, suing F5 Networks (2:20-cv-00697) in the District of Utah and Netscout Systems (6:20-cv-00914) in the Western District of Texas. Three patents generally related to a firewall system for managing packet transmission are asserted in each new complaint, with PacSec3 targeting the provision of firewalls, more particularly network traffic management features within the Arbor Peakflow SP and BIG-IP Application Security Manager (ASM), respectively. PacSec3 is the second NPE associated with Dynamic IP Deals, LLC (d/b/a DynaIP) president Carlos Gorrichategui to launch litigation over the past few months.
