Secure Web Conference Corporation (SWCC) sued Apple as part of an ongoing campaign asserting patents related to secure communication over a network. Only one patent is asserted in this suit (6856687), although a second patent has also been asserted in SWCC’s previous litigation. Apple’s FaceTime application and Apple devices that run the video conferencing app are accused of infringing the asserted patent.
