TQP Development [NPE] filed two suits: one against Allianz Life Insurance and 22 other financial services companies and another against 1-800-Flowers.com, Verizon and eight other e-commerce companies over a patent related to encrypted data transmission.  TQP Development asserted the same patent in seven suits in the past three years.  Previous defendants include RPX members: Apple, Walgreen, Dell, T-Mobile, HP, RIM, and numerous financial services and e-commerce companies.  The patent is currently assigned to TQP Development and was acquired from Telequip Corporation, a payment solution company in May 2009.  TQP has previously used the names Development Safe Sales Tech and PACiD Group. 5/6, Eastern District of Texas, 2:2011cv00249 and 2:2011cv00248.
