In late June, Mountech IP LLC kicked off a litigation campaign for monetization firm IP Edge LLC, targeting smartphone makers with two patents broadly pertaining to computing contextual associations between character strings through “documents in the character entry system” and completing incomplete character strings through the computed data. Mountech IP has now added three more cases, América Móvil (TracFone Wireless) (1:20-cv-23178), HMD (1:20-cv-23179), and HTC (2:20-cv-01168) joining BlackBerry, Lenovo (Motorola Mobility), LG Electronics (LGE), Samsung, and ZTE as defendants in the campaign.
