Noblewood IP LLC, an apparent IP Edge LLC plaintiff, has expanded at the end of February the litigation campaign that it launched at the end of January, suing IAC (Dotdash Meredith) (1:22-cv-00267), J2 Global (Everyday Health) (1:22-cv-00269), Strengthen Lengthen Tone (1:22-cv-01683), Wolters Kluwer (4:22-cv-00136), and Xponential Fitness (Pure Barre) (4:22-cv-00135), over features on their respective websites for “intercepting a download request” for a media file and “reinterpreting that request into a request for receiving a corresponding metafile”. A single former IBM patent, acquired from another NPE, is at issue throughout the campaign, which hit Comcast (NBCUniversal Media), Fox (Fox News Network), New York Times, ViacomCBS, and Virtucom earlier this year.
