The patent generally relates to a “secondary” lithium-ion cell or battery, with infringement allegations in the complaint targeting the provision of certain smartphones (various iPhone and Galaxy-series devices, respectively), tablets (iPad and Galaxy Tab), smartwatches (Apple Watch, Gear, and Galaxy Watch), and Bluetooth earbuds/headphones (AirPods and Galaxy Buds) that incorporate rechargeable lithium-ion batteries.
