Mobile Apps at Issue in New S3G Technology Cases

February 9, 2024

In 2024, S3G Technology LLC has expanded its over eight-year long litigation campaign with suits against Kohl’s (5:24-cv-00016) in the Eastern District of Texas and The TJX Companies (6:24-cv-00059) in the Western District of Texas. The three patents-in-suit, among nine that have been asserted throughout the campaign, are broadly directed to communications between a “terminal machine” and a “service provider machine”. The defendants are accused of infringement through the provision of their respective mobile apps and related servers, software, and systems, with features related to communications between those mobile apps and servers at issue.
