IP Edge Affiliate Adds SAP and RingCentral to CRM Campaign, Following Recent Dismissals
Mozly Tech LLC has added four new defendants to its sole litigation campaign, accusing HubSpot (2:17-cv-00446), LexisNexis (2:17-cv-00447), RingCentral (2:17-cv-00448), and SAP (2:17-cv-00449) of infringing a single patent (7,367,044) generally related to managing account permissions over a network of secure servers. As in most of its previous complaints, the plaintiff—an affiliate of IP Edge LLC—alleges infringement through the provision of customer relationship management (CRM) software.

IP Edge Affiliate Mozly Tech Adds Six New Defendants as CRM Campaign Nears One-Year Anniversary
Mozly Tech LLC, an apparent affiliate of IP Edge LLC, has filed six new cases in its sole litigation campaign in the wake of multiple dismissals. The NPE’s latest complaints target BMC Software (2:16-cv-01251), Citrix (2:16-cv-01252), Hitachi (2:16-cv-01253), iContact (2:16-cv-01254), NEC (2:16-cv-01255), and Quickbase (2:16-cv-01256) alleging that each defendant’s customer relationship management (CRM) software infringes a single patent (7,367,044) generally related to managing account permissions over a network of secure servers.

Mozly Doubles Its Week-old CRM Campaign
New NPE Mozly Tech LLC has filed eight lawsuits on the same day, alleging that various software products sold by the defendants infringe a single patent (7,367,044) related to managing account permissions over a network of secure servers. This litigation campaign is Mozly’s first, and even though the NPE began suing less than a week ago, it has already filed sixteen lawsuits. Most of the cases have targeted companies selling customer relationship management (CRM) software, including Avaya (2:15-cv-01888), Netsuite (2:15-cv-01898), SugarCRM (2:15-cv-01901), and Zoho (2:15-cv-01904). However, the accused products also include contact management software sold by Blackberry (2:15-cv-01889), HTC (2:15-cv-01893), Sprint (2:15-cv-01902), and Verizon (2:15-cv-01903).

Carnition Lights 18 Candles for Labor Day
Newly formed NPE Carnition LLC has launched its first litigation campaign, asserting a single patent (7,428,707) against 18 defendants: Apple, ASUS, Best Buy, Dell, Fry’s, Fujitsu, HTC, Huawei, Lenovo, LG Electronics, Midern Computer, Motion Computing, Motorola, MSI, Panasonic, Samsung, Sharp, and Sony. The ‘707 patent relates to the display of web content composed by automatically extracting information from web pages. The defendants’ websites are accused of infringement.
