Teleputers Tags Marvell in New Semiconductor Suit over Princeton Professor’s Patents
Teleputers, LLC has taken aim at Marvell Semiconductor (6:20-cv-00512) in a new Western District of Texas suit targeting the provision of certain systems-on-chip (SoCs) “that employ [ARM] Neon technology” and that allegedly support certain infringing instructions. The plaintiff asserts two patents, one generally related to permutation instructions in a programmable processor for cryptography and multimedia applications and another broadly concerning 2D multimedia processing using subword parallelism. Public records suggest that at least one of the inventors named on the patents-in-suit may control Teleputers.
