Traffic Information [NPE] filed suit against BBVA Compass Bancshares, CVS, JC Penney, Kroger, MasterCard, Office Depot, REI, Starbucks, Target, TripAdvisor, and UPS over a patent related to providing traffic information to mobile devices.  Traffic Information has filed 13 prior suits against over 70 defendants including Apple, AT&T, Best Buy, Honda, HTC, Huawei, Palm, Pantech, RIM, Samsung, Sony, Sony Ericsson, and Yahoo.  Traffic Information has been able to reach settlements and license agreements with the several companies including Apple, Best Buy, Garmin, Huawei, MetroPCS, Motorola, Palm, Panasonic, HTC, Pantech, Volvo, RIM, Samsung, Sony, Sony Ericcson, Sprint Solutions, Suzuki, and UTStarcom.  9/14, Eastern District of Texas, 2:2011cv00412.
